  • Payment information: payment card details are entered directly on our payment processor's secure checkout. Optimal Alchemy does not store full card numbers on its own systems; we receive only the last four digits, card brand, and authorization status.

  • Automatically collected data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and time on site, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders, including shipping, returns, and refunds.
  • Communicate with you about your order, customer service inquiries, and account changes.
  • Send marketing emails (only if you have opted in); you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website.

4. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the third-party service providers needed to operate our business. These include:

  • Shopify — provides our storefront, customer accounts, order management, and checkout infrastructure.
  • Payment processor — processes credit and debit card transactions. Our processor is currently transitioning; cardholder data is handled by the active processor (Shopify Payments and/or Greenlight Payments / Authorize.Net) under their own security and privacy standards.
  • Shipping carriers — USPS, UPS, FedEx, and similar carriers receive your shipping address to deliver your order.
  • Email and marketing tools — providers used to send transactional and (where opted in) marketing emails.
  • Affiliate management — UpPromote, used to track affiliate referrals when applicable.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — when required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping cart working, remember preferences, measure site performance, and (where applicable) deliver advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Data Retention

We keep order, account, and tax records for as long as required for business operations and to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites; please review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
